With Fashion Week firmly wrapped up and almost forgotten, photos snapped, pressed and re-pressed, a whirl-wind of intimate dinners, exclusive presentations and after-parties later, it’s time for the MBFWA Australian labels to cash in while their brand is still at the forefront of everyone’s fashion overloaded minds. Que sample sales for past seasons, “one-offs” (i.e. samples which didn’t make the cut to production) and “runway pieces” (expect week old sweat patches on pieces too ridiculously unwearable and designed for PR only). And while trends are being written off as quickly as they’ve become “in” (except for some trends I was over 2 years ago – PEPLUM PLEASE GO AWAY), as the great YVES Saint Laurent wisely observed -fashion fade, style is eternal. Here’re our favourite picks for this week, in order of our own sales itinerary. Happy shopping and go make some savings!!! x Friday 3rd May 10am-5pm Saturday 4th May 10am-5pm Sunday 5th May 10am-3pm at Level 2 11-17 Buckingham Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010.
