In the final hours before Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia commences, Fashion Fondue was told all of the shows during MBFWA will be broadcasted live at Martin Place.
“A pop-up bar in Martin Place will allow consumers to view the shows as they happen for the first time, featuring live DJs and a cocktail menu presented by Pelicano.” announced MAXMEDIALAB, the PR representatives of MBFWA.
If you can’t make your way to Martin Place though, head to Jasu.com where in a Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia first, Jasu.com will be live broadcasting every designer show presented at Carriageworks.
MBFW Australia is taking its que from designers such as Burberry and Marc Jacobs who were the pioneers of the live fashion show broadcast with an aim to expand the reach of their collections, and to capitalise on their investment. Burberry’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection was the first to be streamed from screens in central London.
What was once exclusive, is not made available to the public – good or bad? We’ll see what sales are like this year!
